Stainless Rust Medic™ Kit is the original and only manufacturer-supported and recommended product for removing chemical stains and rust from non-coated stainless steel while protecting it with advanced nanoparticle technology.

It can be used safely and effectively on all stainless steel surfaces exposed to corrosive air, salt spray or wet, humid environments. Perfect for grills, area heaters, handrails and cable wire systems, architectural surfaces, and pool and coastal environments.

Why stainless steel rusts

Stainless steel is a strong, durable metal, but its finish is fragile. Machine-etching drums or wheels of varying grit create a grain pattern on the surface — most commonly long linear or short staggered (distressed). All Sunstone products use high-grade 304 stainless steel, which is non-magnetic and contains less iron. Some other manufacturers use 430 stainless steel on doors and accessories, which contains more iron and is magnetic. Either grade can show surface damage — rust and discoloration — when the metal reacts with corrosive salts and acids in the air. The chromium in stainless steel is there to protect the metal, but once that protection is compromised the steel is exposed to corrosion, seen as rust.

Stainless Rust Medic™ helps you restore rather than replace expensive grills, appliances, sinks and more by safely removing rust to its core, then protecting the restored surface with advanced nanotechnology. It works at a molecular level to penetrate even the smallest spaces and lock out moisture and acid damage, leaving the treated surface hydrophobic so it repels corrosion-causing water.

How to use it

1. Work on a cool, dry surface out of direct sun. Wipe off loose dirt and grease first.
2. Put a small amount of #1 Cleaner on the white finishing pad and rub with the grain — never across it or in circles — using light, even pressure until the rust or stain lifts.
3. Wipe away all residue with a clean damp cloth, then dry the surface completely.
4. Apply a thin, even coat of #2 Nano Coating with the foam applicator pad, working with the grain.
5. Buff with the microfiber cloth, and finish with Stainless Nano Shield to keep the surface protected.

Shipping & Delivery

All orders ship free to the 48 contiguous United States. We can ship products anywhere in the contiguous United States.

Larger (freight) shipments are curb-side only. A signature and possibly assistance may be required for unloading. We will work with you to arrange a delivery date and time, but the final details will be between you and the freight carrier.

IMPORTANT: ALL LTL DELIVERIES ARE CURBSIDE UNLESS WHITE GLOVE FEES ARE PAID. All reports of damage must be made within 48 hours after delivery.

Receiving Your Shipment

If you received an item that appears to have been damaged in-transit, call us immediately at 888-934-9449 or 512-487-5116, preferably while the driver is still there.

Inspect all freight before signing the driver's receipt. If damage is found, do not reject the shipment — note the damage on the receipt and contact us. For concealed damage, a claim must be filed within 48 hours of delivery.

FedEx and UPS claims are usually resolved within 14 business days. Freight shipper claims may take up to 120 calendar days.

Returns & Exchanges

Returns are accepted within 60 days of original purchase, in original packaging and unused, for a full refund minus a 15% Restocking Fee.

Items cannot have been installed or used. Customer is responsible for all return freight charges, unless the error is on our part. All returned goods must be in new condition and in original cartons, well packed.

We highly recommend insuring products when shipping back to us. Returns will be rejected if the product is received damaged.
